The park was a wonderful place to relax, except for one thing in Athan's opinion. The park benches weren't exactly comfortable for a naga and his long coils, half draped over the edge and half piled up in front of him. He was "sitting" there looking at all the people passing by, at all the plants, the trees, just soaking up the scenery. And he was fighting off an urge that came up every once in a while, the urge to wrap around and constrict a prey until he could feel its body giving way to his coils or to hear its last breath. Try as he might, and though he enjoyed being a chef, sometimes natural instincts still overcame him and he'd have to wait it out and hope nobody or nothing provoked him until after then.

It was another quiet day around the park as a lone male made his way there. He had on a jacket and sunglasses . He decided that since he did not have class today he should go for a run. He now smiled as he came to a clear spot and started to do so. Pension smiled as he ran along the path that lead around the park. It was a very pretty day to go for a run. He stopped the ground quickly panting as he tried to run faster. As he did that he stumbled over his own two feet and almost fell. He frowned as he stopped for a second panting as he did so. As he stood there he heard his other half laughing and taunting him. “ look what you did you stupid idiot. I can run better then that.” pen said in side his mind making pension frown and say. “ I is sure yo could pen.”

He then looked around and saw a strange looking creature sitting ob a bench. He was huge and snake like and a bit scary looking. Pen added to pension that the creature sure looked ugly. Pension frowned and said “ shut up pen that’s not nice.” all that did was make pen start laughing at him again. The peafowl frowned and decided that he should be nice and meet the odd looking fellow. Pension stared at him for a moment before he moved closer deciding that maybe he should talk to the strange creature. “ what’s up ? “ he said to the other with a friendly smile.

"Hm? Oh, hello there. Beautiful day isn't it? Out for a run or just a little stroll to take in the sights and sounds of the park?" The naga continued to recline on the bench, the end of his tail twitching a little. He was usually a little more timid around any sort of bird but in the mood he'd been in lately he didn't feel the usual fear or anything, maybe just a bit of that predatory hunger. "Come, sit with me, take a break from your walk?"

Pension smiled as he heard what the other said to him now. He smiled for the fellow seemed to be friendly right now. “ hey there. Yeah it be a pretty day. Yeah I is out for a run today. ”he said in his thick new York accent. He frowned just a little as he looked over the naga from under his sunglasses. He then smiled when he offered to let him sit by him. that’s when he heard pen give another rude comment. “ He is being nice pen yo should do the same.” he said out loud to himself as he stood there. He then shook his head and looked back to the other and said. “ well I will if yo isn’t mindin “ he said with a friendly smile.

"I don't mind at all. A nice day is best enjoyed with someone in my opinion. Never hurts to meet new people, get to know them a little, see what else is going on in the world and such. Hear things from someone else's perspective." Not that there was much to see differently from a park bench but he was mostly offering to see if this guy wanted to sit by him and he could size him up a little better... No, he shouldn't be thinking like that, he wasn't here to snack on people he was here just to bask in the sun and enjoy the day.

Pension gave a slight smile as he heard what the other male was saying now. He then heard pen state that they guy talked too much . Pension just kind of frowned and tried to ignore pen for the moment. “ cool. Yeah I agree with that. No most people around here is nice. Not like were I came from “ he said with a smile. He then walked closer to the male. Had he known what crossed the others mind he would have ran away fast. After all even pen was not foolish enough to toy with something that was as big as this guy was. Though that did not mean that he would not pop out. “ I is pension by the way. I am also called pen but that is for another reason.” he said. He had learned that he had to warn others of pen even if they did not believe him. He did not want pen to hurt others.

"Good to meet you Pension, or Pen. I'm Athan. You come here often then?" He shifted his coils a bit, making more space for the newcomer and though he wouldn't want to admit it, putting him in a better position where he might be able to wrap around the other male. Though if he would stop to think about it, at the very least he should think that the bench was a bit too public to be snatching anyone up like that. There were others jogging by or walking pets and such but this was the only guy that had actually come over to him so far.

Pension gave a soft smile as he sat by the other male now. He was the kind who always kept their guard up. If he did not then pen would just pop out wherever he pleased and that would not be a very good thing. “ it be nice meeting yo too athen. Yeah I come here a lot . It gives me a break from all of my classes” he said with a smile. Pen stirred around in his mind telling him that he should not be telling all of that to a stranger. Pension frowned a bit and said “ pen please stop.” he was getting tired of hearing pens complaints right now. This is what poor pension had to deal with every day though.

"So you go to the school huh? Heh, how come I don't remember seeing you in the cafeteria ever? That's usually where I work, come out here to get a bit of a break from it too." The naga smiled, though he heard the other male saying something he shrugged it off. His tail twitched, sliding a little closer to Pension as he stretched. "I think I've just about had enough sun, might need a bit of shade soon, how about you?"

Pension looked at the male as he spoke now. He kept a low profile around the school because he did not want others to provoke pen. Maybe that was why he had not been seen by the other male.” yeah I do. I keep a low profile because I have another persona that can be pretty mean at times.” he said with a smile. His other half gave a snort when he said that. Pen did not like being talked about, He then looked at the other when he said something about going over to the shade. He assumed that he had said that because he was snake like and did not need a lot of heat or something. “ yeah shade sounds cool with me. He said with a smile.

"Cool, heh, in more ways than one I guess. Think there's another nice bench in the shade a little further down the path and off to the right. Another persona huh? Guess that can come in handy sometimes, and probably annoying the rest of the time. But you're never completely alone." Athan smiled, shifting himself and getting off the bench and offering Pension a hand. He was a nice kid, this was the problem with his primal urge to try and eat someone, aside from the whole fact of wanting to eat someone. If you got to know them it was that much harder to try and turn them into dinner.

Pension smiled at the other as he heard him speaking now. This guy seemed nice enough right now. Though he knew that looks were deceiving at times. “ Hehe yeah I guess it is. Okay that’s sound cool. Yeah his name be pen. He aren’t very nice when he comes out. Really he is only good when he thinks that he has to be.” he said with a slight frown. He then watched the other as he got up and offered to help him up. He then took the males hand as he got off of the bench. “ thanks man.” he said with a smile.

"Sure thing. Sometimes it can be good to have that bad side, or rougher personality. Can keep you out of certain trouble probably." The naga smiled and slithered his way toward the shady bench, a fair amount more isolated than where they just were but still not completely hidden. Still with a good bit of timing and luck nobody would be around if he couldn't keep back those urges to coil and consume. The more he talked to Pension the less likely it was that he'd lose control but it was still a possibility.

Pension carefully listened to what the other was saying to him now. He could see that pen could benefit him in some ways. But the fact that pen loved to cause trouble made pension feel very upset at him. To tell the truth there were times that he wanted rid of that other half of him. Though pen had been with him since he was very young. If he was ever lost pension himself might be lost for a while. “ yeah I guess it can be at times. Though pen only dose things to benefit himself. He likes to get me in trouble mostly. Though I will say that he is a good fighter.” he said now. He then followed the other over to the shade. He could not help but wonder if this might not be such a good idea . Maybe he should not follow some stranger around. He dismissed such thoughts for now and decide to wait and see what happened.

"That's always useful, though if he gets you in trouble it'd be nice to have a way to get out of it. And bet he can get you out of trouble almost as often as he gets you into it." The naga smiled, resting at the bench, tail swaying. "Ahh, that's better, feels nice in the shade." A fighting side huh? Well if he ended up acting like a predator he'd have to take care of him quickly then. Wouldn't want him to get an opportunity to do some damage after all.
